How to apply to OFID

In order to speed up processing, OFID will only accept applications from qualified candidates who complete the official Application for Employment form. This can be done in either of the following ways (please click on chosen option). You may find it helpful to print out a copy of the relevant Instructions for Completing the Application for Employment before proceeding.

• Option One (preferred). Complete and submit the online Application for Employment.
• Option Two. Selecting this option downloads Application for Employment form to your computer. You can save it on your hard disk, complete it and submit it as an e-mail attachment to recruit@opecfund.org. Please note that this method requires Microsoft™ Excel.

All applications must be completed in English.

You may be requested to supply documentary evidence that supports the statements you have made in your application. Do not, however, send any such material at this stage and, on no account, submit the original texts of references or testimonials unless they have been obtained for the sole use of the OPEC Fund for International Development

Acknowledgement of receipt of your application will be sent to you. However, note that any further contact beyond that will only be pursued with short-listed candidates.

Instructions for completing the Application for Employment:

We recommend that you print a copy of these instructions so that you can refer to them later while completing your application.

If you are applying online, please keep in mind the following:

• Read instructions carefully, before starting to complete the form.
• Use the TAB key to move from one data entry field to the next while completing the form. You may also use the mouse to move from a specific field to another; simply click on the selected field.
• The data entry fields are long enough to allow you to enter all the information requested.
• Please note that fields marked with an asterix (*) are required for submission
• DD = Day, MM = Month number, MMM = First three characters of month name, YYYY = Year.
• Where the selection list does not have the option you want to select, please type the information in the relevant Others specify or Comments fields.
• When you have answered all the questions in the form, click the Submit button at the bottom of the form. This will transmit the information you have entered and register you as a candidate for that vacancy.
• When you click on the Reset button, all the data already entered is erased and a new copy of the form is displayed.
• Short-listed candidates will receive a hard copy of their completed application, which they will be required to sign and return.

If you are applying via E-mail, please keep in mind the following:

• Be sure to download the relevant version of the Application for Employment.
• Read instructions carefully before starting to complete the form.
• Use the TAB key to move from one data entry field to the next while completing the form. You may also use the mouse to move from a specific field to another; simply click on the selected field.
• The data entry fields are long enough to allow you to enter all the information requested.
• DD = Day, MM = Month, YYYY = Year.
• The short listed candidates will also receive a hard copy of their completed application, which they will be required to sign and return.
