OFID opens 30 Years of Partnership and Cooperation Project Exhibition

30 Years of Partnership and Cooperation, an innovative exhibition of several key OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) projects, will be displayed in an exclusive presentation at its headquarters from July 3, through September 29, 2006. The exhibition also features a film highlighting OFID’s 30 year history and achievements. Both creative and profound, 30 Years of Partnership and Cooperation will explore how OFID’s work has impacted the lives of those in need.

“The exhibition and the film provide an insight into OFID’s efforts to alleviate poverty and our contribution to sustainable development.  It explains the inspiration behind the establishment of the Fund by OPEC member countries and takes the visitor through the origin, evolution, and milestones of the organization”, said OFID Director General, Mr. Suleiman J. Al-Herbish.

The exhibition will officially be inaugurated on June 29 by Mr. Al-Herbish. Ambassadors of member and beneficiary countries and other members of the diplomatic community in Vienna, as well as the Austrian media are expected.

The project exhibition will be open to the public at OFID's headquarters at Parkring 8, 1010 Vienna, weekdays between the hours of 14:30-17:00.
