Cancer Disease Hospital, Phase II (US$6 million)
Purpose:
To provide affordable and accessible cancer treatment facilites.
Activities:
  • construction of patient and treatment wards;
  • construction of patient waiting hostels;
  • construction of staff offices and training center, as well as a staff accommodation center;
  • procurement of medical equipment, including brachiotherapy and Cobalt 60 teletherapy equipment, as well as x-ray and ultrasound machines;
  • provision of training to medical staff; and
  • consultancy services.

Copperbelt Feeder Road Rehabilitation (US$6 million)
Purpose:
To rehabilitate feeder roads in impoverished agricultural areas in the Copperbelt province to ease the movement of produce and inputs

  • rehabilitation of 40 feeder roads, totaling 768 km;
  • installation of drainage works;and
  • consultancy services.

Kalabo-Sikonga-Angola Border Road (US$10 million)
Purpose:
To construct a new road that will originate in the town of Kalabo, pass through the town of Sikongo and then connect to the Angolan border.
Activities:
  • construction of an 85 km-long bituminous road;
  • installation of drainage works and safety features;
  • construction of two bridges, each approximately 175 m long, across the Lueti and Lyachi Rivers in Sikongo.

Water Supply Project (US$4.0 million)
Purpose:
To rehabilitate and expand water supply networks in the Copper Belt, Luapula, and Northern provinces.
Activities:
  • procurement and installation of 49 km of water distribution pipes with diameters ranging from 150-500 mm;
  • installation/rehabilitation of pumps, sand filters and reservoirs;
  • carrying out of repairs works; and
  • consultancy services.
