| Purpose |
| To improve agricultural production and provide potable water supplies to the city of Dioulasso |
| Activities |
- construction of a 2.9 km in length, 24.9 m in height earthen dam, with a storage capacity of 1,050 million m3;
- construction of a 2.6 MW hydropower plant and 33 kV transmission line;
- building of diversion structures, cross-drainage works, canal systems and flood protection facilties, as well as eight pumping stations;
- construction of houses, schools, health clinics and other related infrastructure;
- institutional support; and
- consultancy services.
