Abidjan Water Supply Reinforcement (US$6 million)
Purpose
To provide sustainable access to safe drinking water
Activities
  • drilling of 12 boreholes 130 m in depth and installation of water conveyance pipes;
  • construction of 12 access roads connecting to the new boreholes;
  • installation of pumping devices;
  • installation of electrical connections from boreholes to a power network;
  • construction of a 40,000 m3/day water treatment plant;
  • rehabilitation and extension of water supply networks; and
  • consultancy services.

Jacqueville Bridge (US$5 million)
Purpose
To construct a bridge over the Ebrié Lagoon to provide a direct link between the city of Jacqueville to mainland Côte D'Ivoire (Abidjan)
Activities
  • construction of a pre-stressed 547 m-long concrete bridge;
  • upgrading accessways to each shore with bitumenous concrete;
  • installtion of drainage structures, retaining walls, road markings and signs and erosion protection facilities; and
  • construction of a toll station.
