Purpose
To rehabilitate an important road situated in a large agricultural production area
Activities
  • upgrading the 94.7 km Bekoratsaka - Boriziny earth stretch with an all-weather surface;
  • provision of road signs and markings;
  • planting of roughly 2,000 trees for reforestation and erosion control; and
  • consultancy services.

To help boost incomes of the rural poor
Activities
  • identification and mobilization of rural micro-enterprises;
  • provision of business development services and vocational training to rural micro-enterprises ;
  • development of infrastructure such as rural roads, water supply and sanitation systems and marketplaces;
  • installation of power generators; and
  • construction of multi-purpose business centers.

  • rehabilitation of docks at Port of Islet Madame and Port of Barachois; and
  • consultancy services.
