Bella II
Gaya Border with Benin Road
Rehabilitation (US$10 million) |
| Purpose: |
| To foster socio-economic development of the Dosso and Gaya provinces in the southwest and promote regional integration between Niger, Benin and Nigeria. |
| Activities: |
- rehabilitation of a 73.4 km-long, 10 m-wide road with a paved surface;
- installation of drainage facilities to prevent flooding;
- installation of safety devices such as signs, lighting and guard rails;
- carrying out of environmental protection measures such as planting trees and creation of water catchments;
- promotion of road safety awareness; and
- consultancy services.
