Perseverance Island Social Services (US$8 million)
Purpose:
To improve the education and health sectors
Activities:
  • construction of two primary schools, including libraries, administrative facilities and external works;
  • construction of a secondary school, including computer and science lab buildings;
  • building of a health center that caters to a wide range of specialities;
  • provision of equipment and furniture for schools and health center;and
  • consultancy services.

Health Sector Facilities Upgrading (US$5.65 million)
Purpose:
To reconstruct the National Institute of Health and Social Studies to improve the quality and efficiency of medical service for the population
Activities:
  • demolition of old facilities and construction of new 2-story building to accomodate present and future enrolments;
  • procurement of equipment and furniture;
  • acquisition of biomedical equipment for the Victoria Hospital; and
  • consultancy services.

Perseverence Island Infrastructure (US$6.5 million)
Purpose:
To provide infrastructure development on an area of reclaimed land off the northeast coast of Mahé
Activities:
  • reinforcement of the electricity distribution network ;
  • road construction;
  • laying of water supply and sewerage pipes; and
  • consultancy services.

US$15.13 million
