September 5, 2006 Northern Coastal Road, Phase II (US$10 million)

Purpose:

To divert heavy traffic from Tripoli heading to Beirut by establishing a new road to connect the Beirut Tripoli Highway to the Syrian Border

Activities:

construction of a 10.2 km dual carriageway; construction of three 18.7 m-long interchange underpasses; installation of drainage structures, lighting, road markings and signs; and consultancy services.
